The Almanac

The Twelve Signs

Each animal, its nature, and its road through the Year of the Fire Horse

The old story says the Jade Emperor called a race across a great river, and the order of finish became the order of the years: Rat first, by wit; Ox second, by strength that serves; and so on to the Pig, who arrived last, well fed and well rested, and was welcomed anyway. Twelve animals, twelve natures — and one of them is the year you were born.

Your sign is set by your birth year, with one catch: the year turns at Lunar New Year, in late January or February, not on January 1. Born in those weeks, you may belong to the year before. Enter your birthday and the reading engine sorts it exactly — and reads today through it.

Every sign's page ends where the almanac begins: a reading for your exact birthday, free. Read today's →
